What if we could make things better?  Right now there is a shortage of Oklahoma Child Protective Service Workers.  Because of this, children are being neglected, dying and not flourishing. Sometimes in our world pay does not reflect importance.  This is a hard job. CPS workers see things they can't unsee.  

We are getting ready to circulate an initiative petition to add a one percent state sales tax.  The proceeds from that tax will be distributed monthly to Oklahoma Child Protective Service Workers as a stipend. This should be a annual raise of  $18,000 per CPS worker.  Our goal is for this to help recruit new Oklahoma CPS workers. We want to call it "Patience Pay".  Patience died while in CPS custody on January 15th, 2025 in Fairfax, Oklahoma.
